)[1] is an upcoming Malayalam-language film directed by Abhilash S Kumar in his debut.[2] Set in Idukki in 1995,[3] the film stars Sreenath Bhasi as Kariah,[4] a local goon "who goes around the village picking fights."[5]
Chattambi also features Chemban Vinod Jose, Guru Somasundaram, Mythili, Grace Antony and Joji Mundakkayam in major supporting roles.[6] Produced by Assif Yogi under the banner of Art Beats Studios,[7] Chattambi is co-produced by Siraj, Sandeep, Shanil, and Jesna Ashim.[8] Alex Joseph handles the cinematography along with screenplay and dialogues,[9] based on a story by Don Palathara.[3] The soundtrack was composed by Sekhar Menon,[10] and was edited by Joel Kavi.[11]
Plot
The plot follows a murder that happens in the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border region in 1995.[5]

Filming
Chattambi was primarily shot at Koottaar, Vandanmedu and Chellarkovil in the Idukki district.[5] Principal photography of the film concluded in November 2021 in Thekkady in a single schedule.[12][15]
