Allan Alvarez, (born February 26, 1995)[1] more commonly known as Cheese05, is a speedrunner and podcast host from Trinidad known for his Super Mario 64 gameplay. As of August 2018, Alvarez holds the speedrunning world record for the 120 star and 70 star categories of Super Mario 64.[2]

Alvarez grew up in Trinidad and currently lives in Spain.[3]
Career[edit]
Alvarez began streaming in 2013. In 2014, he started speedrunning and publishing videos to his first YouTube channel.[4] He started uploading to his main channel in 2016.[5] In June 2017, Alvarez was recognized by Red Bull for his gameplay.[6] Alvarez will stream around midnight in Spain, which is peak viewing hours for the United States.[3] On February 7, 2018, Alvarez uploaded the first episode of his podcast, Two Dads One Show, a podcast centered on speedrunning and the mentality and work ethic associated with speedrunning.[7] The next day, Alvarez broke the 120 star world record for Super Mario 64. As of August 2018, the record has not been beaten.[8]
In addition to Super Mario 64, Alvarez also speedruns The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Celeste.[citation needed]
