Osheku (also Osheku the Great or Oshek) was the Cheif Atsogwa of Ogute Oke Okpella from 1840 until 1881. Osheku was known as a warlord that led is people of Okpella into battle against the nupe and yoruba raids. . He left a significant legacy as he led a revolt against the Nupe & Yorubas in 1870's -1890's during a time of peril in the then Kukuruku Hills, as he led a calvary called the Imoga Army from the neighboring Akoko Edo Okpella regions where today his descendants reside.
