Childhood Tales' (Hungarian: Gyerekkori mesék) is a 2024 Hungarian silent black-and-white art film directed by Milán Tóth.[1] The film stars Alíz Joan, Vivien Tóth, and Ábel Joan, and captures a single day in the lives of three unnamed children.
Childhood Tales marks Tóth’s second feature film, following his debut Valóság.exe in 2023.
Plot
Set over the course of a single day, and presents a series of vignettes—games, silences, glances—that evoke the innocence, curiosity, and introspection of early youth.[2]
