Children's Christian Crusade
The Children's Christian Crusade Trust (CCC) was a British charity[1][2] which organised large Christian gatherings of children, usually in churches. It operated for over thirty years[3] and conducted over 600 children's missions,[4] some of which had hundreds of attendees.[5] The CCC was founded in 1964 by Ralph Chambers and Irene Wardle to spread Christianity among the children of the North-East of England,[6] but later held events in the South of England as well.[7]
At the time discos were popular, some of their gatherings were termed "Christian discos".[8] At the gatherings, original poems and hymns were performed. These were later transcribed and released as a book.[9]
