The book is featured on and holds a rating of 4.5/5 stars on BookBub,[7] where it rejects about 80 to 90 percent of requests for Books to be featured.[10] Atheist Alliance International labeled the book as "a necessary, wistful, often subtle humorous exploration of raising children as atheists."[11] Writing for The Startup, Iftekhar Ahmed Samim wrote, "[In this book] Rahman sporadically explores the vigor and wits regarding how a child should be brought up with atheistic views in this day and age."[9]
