The Chinese Physics Olympiad (CPhO) is an annual physics competition for high school students in China. The first CPhO was held in Beijing in 1985. The 32nd CPhO will be held this October in Changsha, Hunan.
Each province or autonomous region will send a delegation ranging from 3 to 20 student competitors plus leaders, selected on a regional level. The students compete as individuals, and must sit for intensive theoretical and laboratory examinations. For their efforts, the students can be awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals.
