Choi Ye-rim (Hangul: 최예림; Hanja: 崔𣫙冧; born June 4, 2001), known professionally as Choerry (Hangul: 최리), is a South Korean singer and dancer. She is a member of South Korean girl group Loona and its sub-unit, Loona Odd Eye Circle.
Early life[edit]
Choerry was born on June 4, 2001, in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.[1] In April 2009, when she was still in her second year of elementary school, she made her first television appearance on MBC's Fantastic Mates.[2]
In 2020, she graduated from Sungshin Girls' High School.[3]
Life and career[edit]
2017–present: Debut with Loona and solo activities[edit]
On July 12, 2017, Choerry was introduced as the eighth member of Loona.[4] Then, she released her self-titled single album on July 28 with "Love Cherry Motion" as the lead single.[5] On August 30, it was revealed that she will debut in Loona's second sub-unit, Loona Odd Eye Circle.[6] On September 21, the sub-unit debuted with their EP, Mix & Match.[7]
On December 13, Choerry released "The Carol 2.0", the re-recorded version of "The Carol" from HaSeul, with ViVi and Yves.[8]
On August 7, 2018, Choerry officially debuted with Loona with the pre-release digital single, "Favorite".[9] The group release their debut mini album, + +, on August 20 along with "Hi High" as its lead single.[10]
On October 23, 2020, Choerry was featured in A-FLOW's song titled "You".[11]
