Lee Seo-yeon (Korean: 이서연, born on January 22, 2000),[1] also simply known by her stage name Seoyeon (Korean: 서연), is a South Korean singer and rapper. Signed under the agency Pledis Entertainment, she is well known as a member of the South Korean girl group Fromis 9, which was formed through the reality girl group survival competition show Idol School.

Seoyeon was born in Seoul on January 22, 2000. She has two brothers, both whom are older.
Career[edit]
2017: Idol School[edit]
She was a contestant on the 2017 girl group survival show Idol School.[2] At the end of the show, Seoyeon was revealed to have landed in seventh place, thus making her a member of Fromis 9.
2018: Debut with Fromis 9[edit]
Fromis 9 officially debuted with their mini album To. Heart on January 24, 2018.[3]
Solo activities[edit]
On February 4, 2022, it was announced that Seoyeon had tested positive for COVID-19, while the other members of Fromis 9 tested negative. She underwent self quarantine and postponed her activites.[4]
