‘’’Choke Me’’’ is a Metal band from Los Angeles, California.

Founded in 2020, Choke Me consists of chief songwriter Wesley Richards on guitar and vocals, Rachel Staxxx on bass, and Nate Williams on drums.[1] The punk-fueled grind three-piece is known for their furious releases and live shows, fueled by the ferocity of their delivery with a somewhat light-hearted approach.[2] The band is a staple in the underground SoCal punk and metal scene and has successfully completed several West Coast tours.

Style

Choke Me is known for the relentless drumming from Nate Williams, the brutal and technical musicianship of Richards and Staxxx, and the chaotic vocals from Richards. They hybridize several styles of music, incorporating elements of Grindcore and Melodic Death Metal with everything from Hardcore and Punk to Metalcore and Crust.[3] They produce all of their releases through the independent music label and studio Riot Ready Records in true DIY fashion, with all songs being written, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Wesley Richards, and all distribution coming through the band.
