Christopher "Chris" Hilton Jr. (born October 11, 2002)[1] is an American football wide receiver for the LSU Tigers.
Early life
Hilton grew up in Zachary, Louisiana and attended Zachary High School, where he lettered in football, basketball, and track & field. In his high school career, Hilton would receive 49 receptions for 889 yards and 12 touchdowns.[2] He was a state champion in the high jump, winning the 5A indoor and outdoor state titles in multiple years, along with the 400-meter dash.[3] He was a four-star rated recruit and committed to play college football at Louisiana State University over offers from schools such as Alabama, Georgia, and Utah State.[4][5]
College career
During Hilton's true freshman season in 2021, he played in four games and started two of them, finishing the season with two receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown, along with a tackle while on special teams.[6]
During the 2022 season, he appeared in four games and started one of them, finishing the season with seven receptions for 109 yards.[7]
During the 2023 season, he played in 11 games and started two of them, finishing the season with 13 receptions for 225 yards and two touchdowns.[8]
During the 2024 season, Hilton missed the first seven games of the season with a lower-leg injury but returned late in the year.[9] He appeared in six games and had nine receptions for 243 yards and three touchdowns.[10] Notable performances included a 41-yard touchdown in the 2024 Texas Bowl against Baylor[11] and two long touchdown catches against Oklahoma in the regular season finale.[12] In LSU's loss to Florida, LSU head coach Brian Kelly ripped into Hilton on the sidelines after Hilton jumped to make a catch instead of keeping his feet on the ground. A clip of the incident went viral.[13]
Personal life
Hilton has been in a relationship with LSU women's basketball player and rapper, Flau'jae Johnson since December 2024.[14]
