Chris Morrissey (filmmaker)
Chris Morrissey (born August 15, 1972 in Hollywood, California, U.S.) is a Los Angeles based American film director and actor.

Biography[edit]
Chris Morrissey is an actor and filmmaker that has written, produced and directed several contemporary cult classic feature films that have screened theatrically and at various international film festivals. Film titles include Superstar Female Serial Killer, Lipgloss Explosion!, Stateless, Fashion Murder Groove, Hollywood Reject, Trick of the Witch and Heavy Makeup. Chris has acted in several independent films, television projects and a handful of Hollywood stage plays. Chris is the son of actress and model Sandy Millar[1] who appeared in television shows such as Mr. Novak and My Three Sons. Chris is a native of Los Angeles and got his start at Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine and Roger Corman's Concorde Pictures before making the leap into filmmaking[2].
Morrissey made his feature debut with the cult movie Superstar Female Serial Killer[3] which was released theatrically in March 2000[4]. His follow-up, Lipgloss Explosion was released theatrically in April 2001.[5]
Since then he has completed the feature films Fashion Murder Groove and Stateless which remain unreleased.
The supernatural horror thriller Trick of the Witch completed production in mid-2010.[6] Trick Of The Witch premiered at the 2010 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival[7] and won the Audience Award[8] and Best Horror Film.[9]
His film Heavy Makeup premiered in Los Angeles at the Rip Horror Film Festival on October 30, 2015 and won the Audience Choice Award[10].
Chris Morrissey was featured as the spotlight filmmaker for the 2016 RIP Horror Film Festival in November 2016 and the festival screened two of his films Heavy Makeup and Trick of the Witch. [11]
Acting credits include the cult television series Twin Peaks and the zombie film Day of the Dead 2: Contagium. He also appeared in the music videos "Die Like Someone" by Eve's Plum and "Rockin' Back Inside My Heart" by Julee Cruise.
