Christ School was founded by the CMI fathers from Kerala in the city of Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, in April 1990. Rev. Fr. Joseph Paikada CMI and Fr. Jacob Keekkarikkattu CMI were the missionary priests who founded this institution. It is now run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Jammu–Srinagar.[1][2]

Christ School is one of the most preferred and top school in the region.

2010 unrest[edit]

On 14 September 2010, during the 2010 Kashmir unrest, the police prevented a mob from setting the school on fire.[3]
