‘’’Christian Ferri’’’ is an Italian American technologist, entrepreneur, and author best known for his work in Distributed ledger technologies or (DLT), Web3, and cryptocurrency.[1][2]

Early life and education[edit]

Ferri attended the University of Udine, where he received a master's degree in economics. In 2013 he received a masters degree in business administration from Cornell University.[3]

Career[edit]

From 2012 to 2016, Ferri served as a practice lead at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Since 2017, he has served as a limited partner at Protocol Ventures. In 2014, he founded the Blockchain Compliance Foundation, a non-profit focused on setting due diligence standards in blockchain fundraising.[4][5][6][7][8][9]

In 2017 Ferri founded BlockStar a blockchain investment advisor.[10][11][12][13] In 2020, Ferri co-founded Web3 Pro, which has several subsidiaries including NFT Pro,[14][15] that provide enterprise white labeled Non-fungible token assets.[16][17] He was referred to by Forbes as a “Blockchain Humanitarian.”[18]

In 2020, his book “Blockchain and Made in Italy” was published by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore.

Ferri serves on the boards of several companies, including Atari, Lottery.com, Swarm Fund, Blockchain Terminal, and Sapien Network.[19] He is a regular public speaker, having spoken at events such as the World Economic Forum, the Blockchain Economic Forum, NFT NYC,[20] Crypto Finance Conference, and the World Crypto Economic Forum.[21][22][23][24][25][3]

In 2021, commenting on the media coverage of Non-fungible token, Ferri stated that “the dynamic will reset the attention on a new scale of digital worth, where NFT buyers will seek and demand digital authentic products from known names that, on wide consensus, carry a higher, more predictable weight.”[26]

While speaking at the Bologna Business School in January of 2022, Ferri said that, “The intent to simplify, to free information from certifying authorities and at the same time make it safe, secure and crystallized, allows people to access services, bypassing a huge amount of paperwork and bureaucratic steps with full security of their information.”[27]

Ferri has stated that blockchain’s trustless consensus mechanism enables the producers of content to distribute their products to users directly, removing the need to have middlemen, thus reducing costs and increasing the speed of delivery.[28][29]
