Christian Neuman[1][2][3]; (born 25 March 1979) is a Luxembourgish artist[4], film director[5], writer, producer, and creative director.

Career[edit]

After a bachelor’s degree in media design, and studies in Germany and The United States, Christian Neuman completes a master’s degree in filmmaking at the London Film School. He works as an independent artist, producer, screenwriter, and director in Luxembourg and London.

In 2019, he writes and directs his first feature film “Skin Walker”[6][7][8] Udo Kier, Amber Anderson, and Jefferson hall. “Skin Walker”[9][10] that world premieres at the A-List; “41st Cairo International Film Festival” and has its European premiere at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.

Christian[11][12][13] co-founds the production company Wild Fang Films[14] with the intention to produce engaging cinematographic experiences in all its forms including virtual reality. He[15] directs and produces a number of shorts, video clips, and experimental films. With over 60 official selections at international festivals, Christian has won several awards including best director and best film. Christian has also led commercial campaigns as creative director for various fashion brands including clients like Tango TV, Belle Sauvage, Arcadia Group, HP France Group, Asos, Elle China, Camomilla Group Italy, Mercedes Benz Luxembourg, IPCN (China’s Next Top Model), The Voice of China.

In 2015 Christian’s experimental short film “The End of Everythings You Knew It. A Guide”[16][17] wins “Best Experimental Short Film” at the Lisbon International Film Festival. The Special Jury Award at the Bucharest Short to the Point IFF 2016, The Best Director Award at the Berlin ARFF Intl. Film Festival 2016. An Honorable Mention at the “Experimental Forum" Film Festival Los Angeles 2016 and the Best Fantasy Short Film at the Los Angeles Independent Movie Awards

In 2008 he co-founds the fashion label, Belle Sauvage[18][19]. The Belle Sauvage[20][21] philosophy is to combine avant-garde silhouettes with original signature prints and the brand vision embodies a complete picture of the modern, sophisticated, yet very feminine woman. Every Belle Sauvage[22] dress is a statement piece and the contemporary shapes embrace the distinctiveness of the prints and enhance the woman’s individual personality. The company also established a diffusion line ‘Leopard’ in April 2008 in response to a contracted concession in Top Shop. Their black label called Vicious East by Belle Sauvage is exclusively sold in Japan and China. The label achieved considerable media interest initially with an extensive celebrity endorsement from known names such as Katy Perry, Kelly Osborne, Lady Gaga, Fergie, Sugababes, VV Brown, The Ting Tings, and Juliette Lewis. They define their market as High-end Design boutiques and concept stores. But also some department stores in Asia. Through their diffusion line Leopard by Belle Sauvage and the mainline Belle Sauvage, their market covers forward-thinking individuals.

In 2007, he produces and directs the cultural show ART7 for the TV channel T.TV in Luxembourg. He also directs and produces various documentaries in Africa for the NGO SOS Faim and the European Commission.

In 2006, Christian’s graduation film “No Star” is honored as Skillset U.K Trailblazing Short (Best U.K student shorts) at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2007
