Christie Lamb (born 6 June 1992) is an Australian country music singer, songwriter and musician.
Biography[edit]
Christie Lamb[1] has been described as ‘the full package’, a vibrant multi-instrumental and award winning singer songwriter. Adding to her ever-growing mantle of awards, Christie was voted ‘CMC Female Artist of the Year 2018’ by Australian Country Music Fans.
The talented songstress has been the recipient of a Golden Guitar for ‘CMAA New Talent of the Year 2016’ and was also voted ‘CMC New Oz Artist of the Year 2015’ again by Country Music Fans.
Christie kicked off 2019 with a fun and fresh new single ‘Hot Hot Kiss’. The single debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Charts and made the top 20 on the All Genres iTunes Singles Chart. This is the first single from her eagerly awaited third album through ABC/Universal Music.
This year Christie will once again join Lee Kernaghan on his National Tour, where she will open the show and play as part of Lee's band along with The Wolfe Brothers.
After her recent signing with major booking agent Artist Network Australia, new festival dates already include Way Out West Festival Winton QLD, Hometown Festival QLD, Barooga Country Music Festival, Country in the Vines, Penrith Truck Show and Norfolk Island Festival.
Constantly impressing at live performances, Christie has become quite the regular face on the festival scene. She has subsequently been booked on many of Australia’s Premier Country Festivals and events including CMC Rocks, The Big Red Bash, Deni Ute Muster, Gympie Music Festival, Broadbeach Country Music Festival, Urban Country Music Festival, Mud Bulls and Music Festival, Cruising Country and Sydney Country Music Festival to name a few.
Christie’s performance at The Deni Ute Muster caught the eye of Keith Urban, who invited her back on stage to perform a duet with him in front of thousands of Country Music fans.
Touring relentlessly with her own dates across Australia and New Zealand, Christie is no stranger to being on the road. She has previously toured with Lee Kernaghan for three years, opening the show, playing piano and mandolin with Lee’s band and singing the female songs and duets with Lee from his albums.
Earlier tours have included ‘The Rock Revolution’ tour with Aussie Rock legend Jon English, ‘The Girls of Country’ tour with Amber Lawrence and Aleyce Simmonds, plus ‘This Crazy Life’ tour with The Wolfe Brothers, playing many sold out shows and constantly expanding her fan base.
Following the release of her debut album ‘All She Wrote’, Christie signed with ABC/Universal Music [2] for the release of her last album ‘Loaded’. Both albums reached #2 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart, narrowly missing out on the number 1 spot to Keith Urban.
The first single ‘Flamethrower’ from her album ‘Loaded’ reached #1 on The Music Network for an impressive five weeks and #1 on Kix Radio Network for two weeks. The following three singles from the album ‘Loaded’ all reached #1. To date, all of Christie’s single releases have reached top five on Australian Country Music Radio.
Christie’s upcoming third album is one of the most highly anticipated releases for this year. Combining her signature powerful vocals along with her strongest penned songs, plus the production talents of Multi Award Winner Producer Andy Mak, this album promises to be something really special.
'I reckon Christie Lamb is the one to watch. She is a star”. Lee Kernaghan
