Christine Angelica Faba Dacera (April 13, 1997 – January 1, 2021) was a Filipina flight attendant for the Philippine Airlines subsidiary PAL Express.[4][5]
Life[edit]
Early life[edit]
Dacera was born in General Santos.[1] She was the second of the four siblings.[6]
Adult[edit]
Dacera moved to Davao City to complete a communications degree, cum laude, at the University of the Philippines Mindanao.[6]
Dacera was a dancer, model, and participated in pageants. In 2019, she joined a pageant, Mutya ng Davao and was one of the finalists.[6]
Later 2019, she moved to Manila to work for Philippines Airlines as a flight attendant. After she died, her crew remembered her being an "upstanding and professional" crew member.[1]
Death[edit]
On December 31, 2020 at 11:37 pm, Dacera had asked her mother for her blessing to celebrate the New Year with her co-workers at the City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati. She was taken to Makati Medical Center on January 1, 2021 and was declared dead on arrival.[7]
Initially, police reported that she had died from rape-slay,[8] but after an autopsy report, the cause of death was found to be a ruptured aortic aneurysm.[9]
