Christmas Cup (tennis tournament) — is a premier junior tennis tournament for players aged 14 & under, that held annually from 2014 at Alexander Ostrovsky Tennis Academy in Khimki, Russia. The tournament is played on indoor hard courts. It features boys' and girls' Singles and Doubles, and exhibition events. The tournament is the one of the six Super category[1] tennis events of Tennis Europe Junior tour. At the end of 2015[2], the Christmas Cup was awarded by the European Federation (Tennis Europe) as the best organized tournament of the year.

History[edit]

The world Top juniors from more than 30 countries annually take part in the Christmas Cup tournament[3]. The most titled athlete in the history of the Christmas Cup is Anastasia Potapova, who twice, in 2014[4] and 2015[5], became its absolute winner (she won titles in Singles and Doubles).

In the Christmas Cup 2016 Girls Singles Main Draw the future US Open 2021 Winner Emma Raducanu (Great Britain)[6] took part. Emma reached the 1/4 finals, where she lost to the future Christmas Cup 2016 Winner Daria Snigur (Ukraine) - 6/0, 3/6, 4/6.
