Christopher Seaton Manning (born November 8th 1981) is an American director, screenwriter and producer.
Education[edit]
He studied History at Columbia University in New York and then filmmaking at the London Film School.[1]
Career[edit]
He began writing, directing and producing with three drama short films entitled Jamie, Isha and Nowhere. His debut short Jamie was one of the 2017 FiveFilms4Freedom and Isha, which co-starred Maia Morgenstern and Lino Facioli, screened at numerous festivals winning several awards.[2] His 2020 short film Nowhere was funded by the British Film Institute and British Council as part of the MoreFilms scheme.[3]
In May 2023, his feature directorial debut was announced[4]: James Ivory: In Search Of Love And Beauty is a biographical documentary portrait of Oscar and BAFTA award-winning director and screenwriter James Ivory (A Room With A View, Maurice, Howards End, TheRemains of the Day, Call Me By Your Name) and features Helena Bonham Carter, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, and Wes Anderson.[4]
