Cindy Lin is a Taiwanese-American children's writer. She has written three novels -- two in The Twelve series, plus Creatures of the In Between.[1][2]
Early life and education[edit]
Lin was born in East LA, California, to parents of Taiwanese descent.[3].
Career[edit]
After attaining degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University [4], Cindy Lin worked as a journalist, acting as a producer for Nippon News, ABC, and Channel One for a total of 14 years before working at Sony Pictures Entertainment as a Product Manager for four years, where she wrote and produced many multimedia news features for children, including one that was awarded with a Peabody Award[5][6]
In 2019, HarperCollins published Cindy Lin's debut novel, The Twelve. A sequel and conclusion to the duology, Treasures of the Twelve, was published in 2020. Creatures of the In Between, her third novel, was published in 2023 [7][8]
