Ciren (/ˈɪərɛn/ JEER-en, Turkish: [ˈdʒiɾen]) is a type of horse in Turkic mythology.[1]. Ciren is a magical horse that can speak. Ciren is also called Cirən (Azerbaijani: [ˈdʒiɾæn]) Ceren, Cerən, Ceyren, and Ceyrən. Two well-known Ciren are Kayçı Ceren and Kamçı Ceren[2]. However, fairy tales also name Oçı Ceren, Kıl Ceren, and Gıl Cerən[3]
