Citroën C4 SpaceTourer
Overview
ManufacturerCitroën

The Citroën C4 SpaceTourer is the compact minivan version of the Citroën C4, resulting from the name change of the C4 Picasso II.

History[edit]

Since 1998 and the presentation of the Xsara Picasso at the Paris Motor Show1, the minivan versions of the manufacturer's models rafters take the name Picasso, associated with the name of the reference model in the range of the manufacturer, the C4 Picasso for the large minivan, as the C3 Picasso for the urban model. It disappeared from the lineup in 2017, giving way to an SUV named C3 Aircross, Aircross becoming the name for all the SUV of the brand. Since C4 Picasso is the last representative of Picasso in its range, Citroën announces on February 26, 2018, having made the choice to abandon the name Picasso in favor of SpaceTourer2, which includes family models. The C4 Picasso and C4 Grand Picasso will become C4 SpaceTourer and C4 Grand SpaceTourer from May 1, 2018.

Motorization[edit]

On the occasion of the presentation of the C4 SpaceTourer and C4 Grand SpaceTourer, Citroën launches a version powered by the four-cylinder 2.0 BlueHDi 160 hp coupled with the 8-speed automatic transmission (EAT8) 4. The 6-speed manual transmission versions (BMV6) are reserved for lower powers.

At the start of the 2018 season (entry into force of the Euro 6.2 pollution control standard), the range of engines evolves as follows:

- disappearance of PureTech 110 (SpaceTourer only)

- the PureTech 130 receives a FAP and is available in BVM6 and EAT8

- THP 165 disappears from SpaceTourer. It is replaced by a PureTech 180 EAT8 only on the Grand SpaceTourer

- Blue HDI 100, 120 and 150 disappear. They are replaced by the BlueHDI 130 (BVM6 and EAT8) and the BlueHDI 160 (EAT8)
