Claas Hoffmann (* September 12 1967 in Stade) is a German book author, Musician, Antroposophist and Thelemite.

Life[edit]

According to his own statements, after graduating from the Realschule Horneburg in 1984, he spent a year at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences for Graphics and Design. In 1990, he studied at Emerson College as part of a "foundation year". Until 1996, he worked on the lightship LV13, which belonged to his father Wulf Hoffmann,[1] in the conversion to a restaurant. After that, he worked there in the catering industry. In 1996 he trained as a multimedia producer in Buxtehude. From 1999 to 2002 Hoffmann studied Visual Arts & Sculpture Course at Emerson College in England. From 2003 to 2006 he lived in different social groups, like Damanhur or Tamera. From 2006 to 2009, he worked as an art therapist at the Eisenhüttenstadt Municipal Hospital and at the Beeskow Psychiatric Day Clinic. In the meantime, in 2009, he underwent further training as an art therapist and relaxation therapist at the IEK (Deutsches Institut für Entspannungstechniken und Kommunikation Bildungsgesellschaft mbH). 2009 - 2010 he worked with the State Opera for the Caritas with children.[2] Hoffmann was from 2010 as an educator in the Kita "Lillabo Hus" in Berlin-Friedenau and in the "Schülerclub Lichtpunkt" in Berlin-Lichtenberg. In 2012, he worked as a creativity educator at the BIP creativity elementary school Kaulsdorf Nord. In 2013 he trained as a hypnotherapist and in 2014 as a sound and music therapist. In 2016, he trained in Neurological Music Therapy at the Robert F. Unkefer Academy for Neurologic Music Therapy and in 2018 as a nature therapist at the IEK in Blankenburg.

As a singer, drummer and lyricist he performed in several bands. Since 2003 he is singer, lyricist and composer of the songs of the band Time and Space Society and performed with them at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig in the last years.[3][4]

Hoffmann is an art therapist and lecturer at the IEK (Deutsches Institut für Entspannungstechniken und Kommunikation Bildungsgesellschaft mbH).[5]

Hoffmann lives with his wife, their two children and his son in a patchwork family in Berlin.
