Claire Dodgson is a British-American film editor best known for her work on animated feature films from Illumination and other major studios. She is an elected member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE).[1]
Early career and background
Dodgson is a graduate of the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in the United Kingdom, where she studied film editing.[2] Her early career included work in the editorial department, serving as a second assistant editor on films such as the stop-motion feature Corpse Bride (2005) and The Tale of Despereaux (2008). She also worked on the editorial team for Wes Anderson's stop-motion film, Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009).[3] Dodgson gained experience in television, working as a lead editor on the BAFTA-winning children's animated series Charlie and Lola (2006–2007).[3]

Dodgson became a prominent editor for the animation studio Illumination (formerly Illumination Mac Guff), collaborating frequently on projects within the Despicable Me universe.[4] Her feature film credits include:
