Claudia K. Williams is the chief executive officer of Manifest Medex, a nonprofit health information network based in California.[1] She previously served as the senior advisor for health information and technology for the White House.[2]
Education[edit]
Williams received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Political Science from Duke University, and later received her Master of Science (MS) on Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.[3]
Career[edit]
Williams founded and led the Synthesis Project, a startup venture of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.[4] She later acquired directing roles within both the Markle Foundation and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, working to implement and improve health initiatives such as the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology's HIE program and the HITECH Act.[5][4] While working for the White House under President Obama's administration, Williams spearheaded several health strategies including the Precision Medicine Initiative and the Blue Button movement.[6][7] After completing her role as senior advisor of health innovation and technology at the White House, Williams became the chief executive officer of Manifest Medex in 2017.[8]
