From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Claudia Zironi (born March 26, 1964) is an Italian poet and writer.

Biography[edit]

Claudia Zironi studied Oriental History in the University of Bologna and works in Bologna where she lives. She began writing poetry at the age of 17, struck by a play by Carmelo Bene about Vladimir Mayakovskiji, but her first publication takes place only thirty years later. In 2012 she founded the cultural association, which she chairs, Versante Ripido in order to spread and promote the reading of poetry in Italy. With Versante Ripido, together with the co-founders, the poets Paolo Polvani and Emanuela Rambaldi and a vast network of collaborators[1], she organized dozens of events in Bologna[2] and published interviews, reviews and works by hundreds of Italian poets on the web and on paper[3]. At the beginning of 2020 the magazine stopped publishing but the blog connected to it remains active[4]. From 2013 to 2016 she was artistically linked to Gruppo 77 of Bologna under the direction of Alessandro Dall'Olio. She currently collaborates with several Italian magazines and blogs[5]. At the origin of her intense voluntary work for the dissemination of poetry there's the conviction that readers must be brought back to love an expressive form that has become the Cinderella of Italian literature, despite the creative and productive vivacity that underlies it.[6][7]
