Syed Shamas ud Din Gamgeen Andrabi (سید شمس الدین غمگین اندرابی) was a Sufi saint and poet who has written a number of poems in Kashmiri language and Persian language.[1]
Syed Shamas ud Din Gamgeen Andrabi was born in 1904 in Ratnipora village of district Pulwama. He has written numerous poems in the Kashmiri language, Persian language as well as the Arabic language. His poetry includes a naat consisting of nearly a hundred couplets without dots (Nukhtas in the Persian language). He has also composed a Persian couplet containing all the Persian alphabets.
