Overview[edit]
Clayton Schiff, born 1987 [1], is an American contemporary artist based in New York City. Primarily a painter, Schiff’s work focuses on animal-like characters interacting with poetic environments. [2] His work has been featured in numerous shows around the world, and his work has been increasingly sought-after by museums–with Sanctum, a piece created in 2023, being acquired by the Hammer Museum. A rising star of the NYC arts scene, he has exhibited work in New York [3], Miami [4], Los Angeles [5], Hong Kong [6], and Stockholm [7]. He is currently represented by 56 Henry in New York.
