During the Second World War Lacey served with the RAFVR. He was educated at King's College London [1] and ordained in 1950 and served curacies at Crofton Park and Kingston upon Thames.[2] He held incumbencies in Merton, Eltham and was the Borough Dean [3] of Greenwich from 1979 to 1985.
