Julius Dein (born 4 May 1994) is an English street magician illusionist.
Biography[edit]
Dein was educated at JFS (Jewish Free School) in Kenton, north west London, where he first performed magic both at school and at parties.[citation needed] Following school he attended King's College London, and on his study abroad year at UCLA he performed at events, and began making[1] prank videos[2][3][4] and social experiment videos.[5]
In 2016, Dein started posting videos of street magic to the Internet, building an online audience of over 20 million followers across social media.[6] Since then, he has made appearances across radio and TV, including Talk Sport[7] London Live[8] as well as US appearances on the Steve Harvey Show and Fox.[9] Subsequent videos included pranks such as proposing to strangers.[2] He has been a guest on Talkradio.[7]
Dein was the first digital signing in the UK by American talent agency UTA in June 2017.[10] Dein began filming videos for the FDA's The Real Cost in 2019. He performed magic tricks with vapes from people on the street, turning them into cigarettes, warning them that vaping could lead to smoking.[11]
