Clifton Cricket Club is an English cricket club based on Manchester Road (A666) in Clifton, Salford. They have been successful in recent years and have gained some major sponsors due to their star player, Will Davidson.[citation needed]
"Will Davo" as his teammates call him, opens the batting with a very laid back approach to the game. Will has had a rocky start to the season this year, getting a golden duck in the first match, then following this with a ropey three before posting a respectable 34.[citation needed]
The club were founder members of the Greater Manchester Cricket League (GMCL) in 2016 and play in that league's Premier division, finishing 3rd in the inaugural.[1] season.
Clifton's current Captain is former Lancashire and Derbyshire all rounder and wicketkeeper Gareth Cross.
