Ground[edit]

Originally nomadic, Swindon now play their home games at Swindon Cricket Club ground on Hinksford Lane, Swindon which has been the club's home since 1978. At the time little more than scrubland, the area was identified as a possible home for the club by newly appointed club secretary David Powell and was soon cleared of unwanted vegetation and other detritus. A clubhouse was built and opened in the same year containing home and away changing rooms, a kitchen, a bar and a large communal lounge area.
