Climax[2] is a 2021 Telugu-language Murder Mystery thriller film produced by Rajeshwar reddy K under the banner of Kaipa Film Production House and directed by Bhavani Shanker K. Multimillionaire Vijay Modi, offers 1 crore to Navya, to spend a night with him in his 7-star suite room and listen to his story. Navya takes the offer. The very next morning, Modi is brutally murdered. The film features veteran actor Rajendra Prasad, as Vijay Modi. Sasha Singh as Navya. Casting also includes, Sri Reddy, Prudhiviraj , Sivashanker Master, Ramesh and others. Music is composed by Rajesh- Nidhwana duo. Climax is scripted and directed by Bhavani Shanker K. Climax was digitally released worldwide by Amazon Prime Video.[3]
Plot[edit]
The Story is narrated by 70 year old Vijay-Modi , who was dead 70 days ago. [4] Vijay Modi is a maverick millionaire who stays in an upscale 7-Star Hotel. He has a special suite room all for himself on the last floor of Hotel. Modi is a Multi-talented celebrity , who appears in Television debates , loves partying and consuming drugs. He is also an aspiring politician and an unsuccessful movie Hero.
One day he visits his old friend, Sayareddy, who is in coma & in need of financial help. Modi signs a check for him and in return encounters a beautiful teenager, Navya. He falls for Navya & orders his henchman , P Nagraju to find her whereabouts. Very next day he again runs into Navya at his Hotel lobby. He strikes a conversation with her and invites her to visit his suite room. He offers her a Crore of rupees just to spend a platonic night with him. Navya , agrees on the condition that he shows her the money. Modi agrees, but In the process of showing money he also reveals that he hid 500 crores in the suite room.
Next morning, Modi is found brutally murdered in his suite room. Navya, becomes the prime suspect , having spent the previous night with him. Ramesh, a CID officer interrogates Navya but declares her to be innocent. Over the course of interrogation , Ramesh understands that there is much deeper reason for the murder of Modi.

Production[edit]
Climax was shot in star hotels of Hyderabad and Mumbai. Original story involved 20 days Bangkok schedule ,but was cancelled due to the pandemic. The story was then re-worked to delete the Thailand schedule completely.
Climax was initially slated to release in 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic. Climax got a limited release(due to Pandemic) by PVR pictures on March 5 , 2021.[5]
The film later digitally premièred worldwide via Amazon Prime Video in April 2021.[3] Climax was subsequently dubbed to Tamil and Kannada languages.

Climax released to positive reviews .[6] The protagonist name ' Modi' has created a furore as it was matching many known personalities. [4] The story of Climax had shades of references to Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi.
The movie was also in news for wrong reasons as it included controversial actress Sri reddy. Sri reddy was a front runner in the Indian 'Me- too' moment.[7]The length of Sri reddy's character was later shortened to a single scene. But the movie was considered as her successful comeback.[8]
