The company's Laboratory Information Management Software, CloudLIMS Enterprise and sample management software, CloudLIMS Lite, are built on cloud technology. The company is a member of International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories. The COO of the company is the Chair of the Member Relations Committee at ISBER that creates opportunities for a diverse global membership to participate in sharing ideas & innovations in biobanking.[4] The company has achieved its ISO 9001:2015 certification in March 2017.[5]

However, the life sciences and pharmaceutical market is gradually adopting and using cloud technology. Hence, CloudLIMS authored CloudLIMS Lite (earlier called BioTracer), a class of automated sample management software, which can track samples, packages & shipments, record qualitative & quantitative tests and their results, and generate reports.[6] The company later released a SaaS LIMS, CloudLIMS Enterprise, to help biobanks, clinical, research and testing laboratories keep track of their biospecimens, laboratory studies, requisitions and digital inventories. Biobanks are critical for collecting and managing high-quality bio-specimens from donors with appropriate clinical annotation. To automate biobank data management, biobanks have been investing in traditional Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).[7] Using cloud-based LIMS, cannabis testing labs can reduce manual workloads and focus on productive lab operations.[8][9] Foraying further in the laboratory information management industry, the company is developing an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) that facilitates real-time tracking of experiments. CloudLIMS's customers in the United States include University of California, Davis, Texas Tech University, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and many more. In Europe, it serves Cardiff University, University of Sheffield[10] and Colibri Scientific [11]. In Asia, CloudLIMS provides services for NIMHANS and Lucence Diagnostics among others.
