Balonmano Cisne is a team of handball based in Santander, Cantabria, Spain. It plays in Liga ASOBAL. Thus, from 1970, the Cisne Handball Club began to stand out in the various championships of this sport, with a priority in all its actions, working with grassroots sport, achieving an enormous reputation in national handball as the cradle of one of the most brilliant quarries of handball players in Galicia.

The most important achievements of the club are the 6 Galician Junior championships, the 3 Galician Juniors championships, the 4 Galician Cadet championships. Likewise, and as a major achievement at national level, the 4th place achieved in the Spanish Junior Championship, in Granollers, in 1978. Likewise, and as a result of all this work with the age categories, the senior team of the Club was increasing its category and quality, until reaching in 1981 the promotion to the Silver category of Spanish handball, maintaining huge rivalry duels with Teucro from Pontevedra, or the current Academia Octavio, and always with totally "amateur" players, all of them from the city and formed in the basic categories of the Club. For several seasons, it remained in this Division of Honour "B", and then after starting the professionalization of the discipline, down to the Second National Division of Handball, where he was for 8 seasons, until in 2000, and after winning the Promotion Phase held in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), is achieved again the promotion to the 1st Spanish National, where it will play until the 2014-2015 season, which achieved promotion and return to the Division of Honour Silver almost 30 years later.

In the 2019/2020 season, the club is proclaimed champion of the División de Honor Plata, thus achieving its first promotion to the Asobal League.
