Club HKT Limited (The Club) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Telecom (HKT). Established in 2014, The Club is a loyalty and digital commerce platform [1] [2].
Chronology
HKT inaugurated a unified loyalty and rewards program, Club HKT Limited (The Club), encompassing its range of services in 2014 [1][2]. In 2015, eligible spending on HKT services began to accrue Clubpoints, which could be redeemed for benefits or rewards.
In 2018, The Club expanded its business operations through the acquisition of Club Travel Services Limited, a licensed travel agency and launched the Club Travel program [3] [4] [5]. Subsequently, in December, The Club initiated a brand campaign titled "Join The Club" in collaboration with several HKT subsidiaries [6].
In 2020, The Club introduced a corporate social responsibility platform, Club Hope, which enabled members to contribute Clubpoints to support charitable organizations and community initiatives [7]
[8]. The Club then consolidated several of HKT’s e-commerce businesses under the Club Shopping platform in October of the same year. In 2021, The Club partnered with FWD Hong Kong to launch an online insurance platform, initially named Club Insurance and later rebranded as Club Care [2] [9] [10]. The platform operated as a licensed insurance agency.
By 2024, Club HKT Limited (The Club) had reached over 4 million registered members [11] [12].
