Coco (Japanese store)
Coco Stores (or Coco for short) is a Japanese store owned by FamilyMart.
History
In 1971, Akio Morita created the store Coco.
In 1994, the show Coji-Coji was released and brought attention to Coco.
In 1999, the show Coji-Coji stopped airing, but was still featured in Coco Stores commercials.
In 2011, the company stopped airing Coji-Coji commercials.
In 2015, FamilyMart bought Coco and closed all its stores.
