Career[edit]

Army Combat Veteran[edit]

On September 26, 2006 he enlisted in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer a few weeks after turning 17 years old and went to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for basic training, and advanced individual training as a Military Police Officer.

Wayne served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer from September 2006 to March 2013. He served in combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2012, he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant E-6. In 2008, he was deployed to Cairo, Egypt, for military activity. The following year, he was deployed to Basra, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from June 2009 to June 2010. He sustained permanent nerve damage in his back L1-L3, requiring a lumbar block fusion surgery, treated for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and permanent tinnitus in his ear. He also sustained shrapnel that tore through his right leg, and abrasions to his stomach, and arms. After the incident, he was honorably discharged from the military.[7]
