Colleen Zamba is the Secretary to the President and Cabinet in the cabinet of Malawi. She was appointed Secretary to the President and Cabinet on 31 May 2022 succeeding Zangazanga Chikhosi who was relieved of his duties.[1][2][3] Colleen previously served as the President's Chief Advisor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and International Affairs, as well as the Head of the Presidential Delivery Unit.[4][5]

Colleen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics obtained at the University of Malawi, and a post graduate diploma in Development Policy obtained at the University of Glasgow.[6]
Career[edit]
Colleen Zamba has worked as an Economic advisor for the UNDP in Nigeria, Zambia, Swaziland and Lesotho.[6] She was appointed head of the presidential delivery unit in April 2021. She also sits on the board of Power Market Limited as the Board Chair.[7] In 2009 she co-authored a paper on Input subsidies to improve smallholder maize productivity in Malawi: toward an african green revolution.[8] in 2007 she published Poverty and hunger special feature: The African millennium villages (vol 104, pg 16775, 2007) and The African Millennium Villages.[9] In 1998 she formed part of the team that came up with the Malawi Vision 2020, which was THE NATIONAL LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVE.[10]
