Collins Osuagwu (born April 20, 1973) is a politician and philanthropist.He is the governorship aspirant for the Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP) for the Imo state gubernatorial election for 2019.[1] [2][3]
Early Life[edit]
Osuagwu was born on April 20, 1973 at kaduna to the family of chief titus osuagwu; a retired nigerian Soldier. He hails from umuebia in isiala mbano local government area of imo state, south-east nigeria. He attended shell camp primary school, Imo state and later holy ghost college, Owerri in the Imo state’s capital city.[4][5][6]
He was a student of enugu state university of science and technology before proceeding to Donetsk State University, Ukraine. After his first degree in political science, he pursued further his studies at the Open University, London where he earned a second degree in human resources. [7]
Career[edit]
Collins quest for entrepreneurship and business development led him into establishing his own private businesses immediately after his university education. He founded the Col Blue Ocean Line Limited; Collinso International Limited; Zeus Marina Oil and Gas Limited and Collins Osuagwu Foundation as his charity outfit to reach out to his people at the lesser economic echelon of life, especially among his people.[8][9]
He is the governorship aspirant for the Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP) for the Imo state gubernatorial election for 2019.[10][11][12]

Collins holds a chieftaincy title among his people and has received several honours, awards and recognitions both in the social, religious, political and academic levels, but notably among them from his state are:
