The university is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). It is a subsidiary of Career Education Corporation. The CTU campus in Sioux Falls, South Dakota closed in September 2016.[11]
US News currently ranks CTU tied for 85th for online bachelor's programs for veterans.[12]
