CompareForexBrokers is an Australian website that publishes comparisons and reviews of foreign exchange (forex) and Contract for difference (CFD) brokers.[1] The site was launched in 2014 by Justin Grossbard and Noam Korbl and later expanded beyond Australia with country-specific pages and guides.[2][3]
History
CompareForexBrokers began operating in October 2014 as a broker comparison portal built around fee and platform analysis.[2] Over time the site added country-specific comparison pages and educational material for retail traders.[3] It publishes explainers and region-specific pages (for example, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States). Industry trade press has covered related projects by the founders in adjacent comparison niches (such as proprietary-trading firm reviews).[4]
Mainstream outlets have occasionally cited CompareForexBrokers’ comparative data when discussing retail-trading options for consumers in specific jurisdictions.[3] Trade publications have also noted spin-off comparison projects by the same founders in related segments.[4][5]
CompareForexBrokers has issued annual "Forex Broker Awards" since the early 2020s, naming top brokers in categories such as “Best MetaTrader 4 Broker” and "Most Trusted Broker."[6] In 2025, Pepperstone was named Overall Best Broker, while Vantage Markets received "Best Range of Markets."[7]

Regulatory note
In February 2021, New Zealand’s Financial Markets Authority (FMA) published a consumer clarification stating that while CompareForexBrokers had issued a press release about its broker comparisons, the service itself is not regulated or endorsed by the FMA, and that readers should exercise caution.[8]
Legal dispute
In 2018, CompareForexBrokers was involved in a shareholder dispute with Australian entrepreneur Adir Shiffman, who held a minority stake in the company through BBHF Pty Ltd and briefly served as a director.[9] Shiffman alleged exclusion from decision-making, claiming minority shareholder oppression. The matter was settled confidentially later that year, with no terms publicly disclosed.[9]
The case resurfaced in 2024 during Shiffman’s separate litigation against mattress company Sleeping Duck, when the Supreme Court of Victoria referenced the 2018 CompareForexBrokers dispute as an example of earlier shareholder conflicts.[1]
