Connexions: An International Women's Quarterly was an American feminist periodical published from 1981 until 1995 in Oakland, California.[1]
Background and content[edit]
The collective of women behind Connexions come from diverse nationalities and political perspectives. They sought to augment the international feminist movement by translating international feminist materials and articles, as well as publishing essays that concerned women’s issues. Material translated from the international feminist press included content about women's organizations, culture, and international resources.
Each issue focused on and revolved around a particular theme or topic. They featured articles, interviews and personal narratives. Some topics and issue titles included: Lesbian Activism, Reproductive Technology, Women Organizing Against Violence, and Sexuality in Mind and Body.[2][3]
