Constantin- Konstantinos Symsiris

Constantin Symsiris (Konstantinos Symsiris; born 1988)[1][2] is a Greek born actor, trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art RADA in London.[3] His British television debut was playing Lazaros Vangelatos in ITV series The Durrells[4][5][6][7] alongside Keeley Hawes and Josh O' Connor.

Life and career[edit]

Symsiris was born on 29 March 1988 in Larissa, Greece. His father worked as a lawyer and his mother taught ancient Greek and Philosophy. Symsiris began studying Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2005. In 2013, he graduated from Empros Drama School. He continued his acting training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and graduated in 2018[8]

He has worked with international theatre companies such as Studio Matejka at the Instytut im. Jerzego Grotowskiego in Poland (Harmony of Contradictions)[9], Troubleyn Jan Fabre in London (Je suis Sang)[10] and Blitz Theatre Group in Athens (Don Quixote) , Greece. In 2017, he directed the Greek tragedy 'Prometheus Bound' for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in the Ancient Theatre of Messina[11], Greece.Currently, he's filming for a new feature film 'Trouble will find us'[12] directed by Alexander Milo Bischof alongside Ruth Kearney and Dylan Edwards.

Stage credits include; Prometheus in 'Prometheus Bound', Mrs Happiness in 'Clay to Flesh'[13], Vindice in 'The Revenger's Tragedy', Swiss Cheese in 'Mother Courage and Her Children', Nils Krogstad in 'A Doll's House' and Hermia in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Constantin also played Franz Kafka in 'Sincerely Yours'[14] and performed in 'Toneelhuis/FC Bergman: 300 Le x 50 Le x 30 Le' at the Barbican.

Screen credits include : 'Interruption' by Yorgos Zois , 'Wheels of fortune' by Theodosia Grammatikou, 'Grey Route' by Andy Papadimitriou, 'Trouble will find us' by Alexander Milo Bischof and 'Mediterraneo' by Marcel Barrena [15]
