From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Constantine Animated Universe[1] is a name given by writer Peter Girardi referring to a series of animated material based on the DC Comics character John Constantine.

Development

In January 2017, The CW announced an animated series based on the character John Constantine produced by Greg Berlanti and written by J.M. DeMatteis. Matt Ryan, who recently returned as the character in the fourth season of the live-action series Arrow, was set to voice the character.[2] Around the same time, an animated film based on Justice League Dark was released on January 24 on digital and on February 7, 2017 on DVD and Blu-Ray in which Ryan also reprised his role as Constantine.[3] The animated series, titled Constantine: City of Demons, was released as a five part episode on the CW Seed on March 24, 2018.[4] However, DeMatteis revealed that seven more episodes are in development.[5] Instead, the series was compiled into a digital film released on October 9, 2018[6] then later as a two-part episode on January 19, 2019.[7] DeMatteis later confirmed that the series is set in the same franchise as the 2017 film Justice League Dark.[8]
