From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Contemporary Herpetology is a non-profit, electronic, peer-reviewed journal for articles of a herpetological interest, including biology, ecology, physiology, conservation of reptiles and amphibians.[1] It was co-founded in 1997 by Joseph B. Slowinski, Travis W. Taggart, Jeffery Demuth, and Brian I. Crother all faculty/graduate students at Southeastern Louisiana University. It went online at http://vmsweb.selu.edu/pcsd4805/ on January 1, 1998.[2]

Slowinski was the editor-in-chief until he died in 2001.[3][4][5] Joseph Bernardo has been the current editor-in-chief since 2002.[6]

In 1998 the journal was reported as indexed in Zoological Record and Current Contents[7] and it has remained in the list of journals monitored for inclusion in Zoological Record.[8][9]
