History

Founded in 1993 by Xavier Dôme[1], airline pilot and Eric Chambard[2] , also airline pilot and former journalist as well as Laurent Clary, this French airline Continent Air Paris operated from the beginning of 1995 for several airlines including Air France , Air Liberté, Régional, Air One, EasyJet or even Corsair International either in aircraft rental with ACMI crew or in a passenger charter contract.

In 1995, CAP Cargo Airlines, the freight subsidiary of CAP, flew an ATR 42 (cargo capacity of 40 m), leased to Brit Air for Extand (now GLS France ), express carrier of small parcels, subsidiary of Calberson ( SNCF Group)[3] , first big customer, between Roissy and Avignon every evening.

Due to lack of capital, CAP Airlines went bankrupt at the end of 1997 after five years of operation.
