Controlled Interfaces LLC

Controlled Interfaces LLC is a small, privately owned business, incorporated in Connecticut in 2017, based on a US patent for a new data diode technology using passive optical fibers to create a unidirectional link between Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) network devices. CI was granted US patent number 10,966,004 in 2021.

Data diodes, also known as unidirectional networks or unidirectional gateways, are one-way information flow control devices that offer unique benefits for improving cyber security at network boundaries. When rendered in hardware, they can't be breached by any form of software attack.

CI technology is notable for its speed and simplicity. Using optical fibers alone, 100G links have been demonstrated using Arista 7280 network switch platforms.
