Corey Fogelmanis (born August 13, 1999[1]) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Farkle Minkus on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World that aired from 2014 until 2017.
Career[edit]
Fogelmanis started his career in theatre, having been in numerous theater productions by the time he was six years old.[2] He then made his on-camera debut in a short film entitled The Maiden and The Princess, released in 2011.[3]
Between 2014 and 2017, Fogelmanis portrayed Farkle Minkus in Disney's Girl Meets World, a spinoff of the 90's sitcom Boy Meets World.[4] During the same periode, he also guest starred on the TV show I Didn't Do It, starred as Max in the horror comedy fantasy film Mostly Ghostly: One Night in Doom House,[5] and returned to the theater with a stage adaptation of Peter Pan.[6]
Continuing his theater career, in 2017 Fogelmanis starred in an off-Broadway production of Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, a reimagining of the Peanuts characters in their teenage years. Fogelmanis played a character based on Linus Van Pelt.[7]
Fogelmanis then branched into the thriller and horror genres, starring in the mini-series PrankMe in 2017.[8] Then in 2019, he starred in the "First day of school" episode of the anthology series Into the Dark.[9] In the same year he starred in Netflix's drama thriller Deadly Scholars,[10][11] and finally made his debut feature film role with Ma.[12] For his role in Ma, Fogelmanis was nominated for the Choice Movie Actor category in that year's Teen Choice Awards.[13]
On April 20, 2022, Fogelmanis joins the cast of Netflix's adaptation of My Life With the Walter Boys.[14] On November 4 of the same year, he joins another novel adaptation, I Wish You All The Best. Fogelmanis will play Ben in his first role as a non binary person.[15]
Personal life[edit]
Fogelmanis has a younger sister.[16] He has a passion for photography.[7] On June 15, 2020, Fogelmanis comes out as queer.[17][18]
