Cornell is an unincorporated community in Modoc County, California.[1] It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 6.5 miles (10 km) south-southeast of Newell,[2] at an elevation of 4124 feet (1257 m).[1]
A post office operated at Cornell from 1884 to 1904, with a closure during part of 1890.[2]
